BoE Base Rate increased to 4.5% - May 2023

The Bank of England base rate is currently at a high of 4.5%.

The base rate was increased from 4.25% to 4.5% on 11 May 2023.

The Bank of England has been gradually increasing the base rate to curb inflation after the coronavirus pandemic.
